Hello Handsome
That handsome Asian boy, I knew that face, smiled at me with his amazing brown eyes and something inside me melted. His red lips parted just slightly, as the corners of his eyes creased in joy.
I could feel a swoon. No, really
I'm sure he winked.
I was getting beers at the bar for me and Nick. The bar was busy, the crowd pushed me away. I headed back to Nick, but I was distracted. “Who are you looking for?” asked Nick.
“What makes you think I am looking for anybody?” His name was Steve. We had a thing at uni.
“Because I have asked you three things, and you didn’t hear any of them.”
“Oh, sorry, I must be tired.”
Nick sculled his beer down. “I’m tired too,” said Nick. “Shall we go?”
“Sure,” I said. “You heading home?”
“Not exactly said Nick.
“I thought you were tired?’
“I’m not that tired.” Nick looked at me as if I were weird. “Tired of being ignored.”
“Sorry,” I said. “I didn’t ignore you for long…”
“I want to go anyway.” Nick headed off.
I did a lap of the bar seeing if I could see Steve. And when I couldn’t see him, I did another lap just to be sure. Then I headed home too.
