Georgie Boy

I've been hanging out with my mate George all weekend. (I have two Greek mates named George, Half the Greek boys in the world seem to be named George. The other George, I will refer to as G, so you guys don’t get confused) George is a great guy, good looking, Greek, fun to be around. George's sexuality is ambiguous, at best. It's kind of non-existent, to be completely accurate. He says it's fluid and he won't be tied down to a label,
“Life's too short and all that, Josh.”
Nick reckons he's a closet case who, and for whatever reason, he can't kick the closet door open. I don’t necessarily think life is so black and white.
George has a twin sister Sophie, who he is extremely close to him, they do everything together. They do everything together.
Their Parents died in a fiery car crash when George and Sophie were 17. Their parents were rich, the archetypal hard working Greeks, who started out as cleaners and ended up owning many of the buildings they cleaned.
The tragedy of George and Sophie’s parent’s deaths pushed the twins closer together, some would say too close.
We don’t ask to many questions, and they don’t provide any answers, but, you know, we all have eyes.
George has a law degree but doesn’t work as a lawyer. He went to ui with me, that’s how he fits in.
Sophie has an engineering degree but doesn’t work as an engineer.
They both manage the property portfolio their parents left them. They have increased the value of the property portfolio by huge amount since their parents’ deaths.
They both still live together in their parents’ house in North Balwyn. It is a weird time capsule of a place, one might say frozen in time from Gorgio and Lucy Scala’s deaths.
I’ve only been there once, or twice. There is plastic on the furniture. There seems to be only one bedroom in use, Gorgio and Lucy’s old bedroom.
As I said, none of us ask too many questions. Sophie is sweet, George is funny, they are both generous, that’s all we focus on.
George and I went bike riding. Then we smoked a shit load of pot. Then we eat huge pizzas and watched 10 DVDs we went and bought from JD HiFi.
