They are his swim trunks. He swims in those. You can always tell who are the gay guys, or the chicks who've had one too many chardonnays when he heads to the waters edge.
Matthew is getting half a woody in this shot, as I am whispering things to him as I take the photo. He really has a very nice one. Thick and fat, and solid in your hand.
